Why cultural village? The name itself sounds boring?
Hang on there, this is totally a different story!
 
 
 

Brief introduction of the tribes:
Tribes - (Ethnic Uniqueness and Demonstration)

1. Kadazan, dusun - (Bamboo-cooking and brewing of tapai [traditional rice-wine])
2. Rungus - (Fire starting demonstration using bamboo)
3. Lundayeh - (Rope processing from tree barks)
4. Bajau - (The making of fishing net and extraction of pandan juice)
5. Murut - (Production of traditional tobacco, experience blowpipe shooting &tattoo making)



Mari-Mari is a Malay word that means “come”. Visitors would have a chance to witness the famously feared headhunter Murut tribe, rice-farmer Kadazan-Dusun, crocodile as guidance of Lundayeh tribe, longhouse residence Rungus and the so-called sea gypsy Bajau!

This tour offers you the opportunity to discover the culture and lifestyle of how these indigenous ethnic groups of Borneo used to live in the olden days. Besides, you can also have a first-hand experience on fire-starting, tree bark processing, hunting and bamboo-cooking – a series of basic surviving skills and knowledge!
 


On top of that, visitors will be entertained by various cultural dances and thereafter is served with Sabah delicacies in buffet style! Hesitate no more, this is truly an experience that you could not miss!

Mt. Kinabalu Climbling! Challenge youself!

 Challenge your limit, test your endurance, 4,101m tall, 10KM track, only to conquer the highest peak in Southeast Asia! Along the journey, you will be amazed by a variety of unique floras, breathing unending supply of fresh air, the world would seem to be under your feet! Surrounded by spectacular scenery, every footstep imprinted is no regret! What are you waiting for? Bookings have to be made at least 3 months ahead!

Day 1
Hotel pick-up at 2.00pm would be arranged and thereafter climbers would be transfer towards Kinabalu National Park for check-in procedure. Upon completion, climbers would then be transferred to Masilau Nature Resort on a car ride. After checking-in their respective rooms, climbers will then enjoy a free-and easy time. Dinner will be served at Renanthere café.
 
Day 2
At 7.00am, with your backpacks ready, breakfast will be served at Renanthere café. Each climber would also be given a lunch box. At around 8.00am, a safety briefing would be given by mountain guide, and then climbing begins! Probably at about 5.00pm you will reach Laban Rata. After check-in and wash-up, climbers can enjoy dinner at the Laban Rata canteen! While enjoying dinner in a chilling environment, amazing experiences along the journey is shared and look forward for tomorrow’s challenge to conquer the peak!
 
Day 3
Climbers will have to wake up at 2.00am to freshen up and have a simple midnight snack before departing to the summit of Mount Kinabalu at 2.30am! Approximately 3 hours of trekking on this rough mountain will then lead you to an unbelievably majestic Mountain Top! If weather allows, you might be able to witness the glorious sunrise over the peak! After taking pictures, climbers will have to descend the mountain back to Laban Rata before the fogs arise. Subsequently after breakfast, climbers will continue to trek downhill and reach the ending point at Timpohon Gate where the driver awaits. Climbers will then be transferred to Balsam café at Kinabalu National Park for a buffet lunch. Upon collection of certificate of climbing at the office, driver will then depart back to Kota Kinabalu city hotels.
